Meanwhile Marla and Dana arrived at the hospital and found Charles fast asleep in his room.  They tiptoed closer to the bed, not wanting to disturb him.

Marla gasped and covered her mouth as she took a good look at her son.  "Dana!" she whispered.  "Look at his face!!!"

Dana put her arms around Marla for moral support.  "Be strong, girl.  It looks worse than it is," she assured her friend.

"That was just the radio playing." said Robin.

Before heading over there, Robin called Eddie first. Eddie suggested that instead of Robin coming to Marla's house to talk, he would pick Robin up and they could go somewhere and talk alone to avoid any possible confrontation with Charles.

"That's cool, Mr. Sutton. I'll be waiting," Robin agreed.

Eddie got there about an hour later and the two of them drove out to Eddie's house in Lincoln Heights so that he could check out everything there and talk to Robin privately as well....
