Lulu: I don’t know where my Boo is. I’m in here waiting for him to come back to his room so we can talk about an idea I have more our wedding. Good thing---now you and I can talk, gurl! So how ya been? Everything okay?

Lizzie: Well………I guess everything’s okay NOW.

Lulu: Hold up.   You don't look right.  Don’t tell me that KENDRA is giving you more grief?! Ya see Lizzie, I told you to put her in check when you had the chance at the MJ Tribute!!

Lizzie: Oh no Lulu!! Kendra’s cool. In fact, I don’t see her very much anymore. She’s busy with Devin these days.

Lulu: Good for her. That leaves Jeron all for you, right?

Lizzie: Yeah….I guess…..

Lulu: I’m not liking how you sound, Lizzie. Talk to me, gurl.

Lizzie: Well……it’s just that now there’s someone else--besides Jeron..

Lulu: (laughing) OH SNAP!!!! You little freak, you!!!

Lizzie: Lulu!! I’m not a freak!!

Lulu I’m sorry, gurl. I’m just teasing you! You know that…..

Lizzie: That’s why I wanted to talk to Robin. He’d understand.--he always does.

Lulu: I’m sorry, Lizzie---for real. I’ll be serious. Now who’s this new dude?

Lizzie: His name is Andrew. I met him at the Lincoln Heights Outreach Center when I started volunteering.

Lulu: Cool. What’s he look like?

Lizzie: He’s from El Salvador. He’s tall dark and handsome. He goes to my new school.

Lulu: Sounds nice. How does he treat you?

Lizzie: Like a queen. He offered to walk me home the other day from the Center.

Lulu: I like him already. Did he hold your hand on the way home?

Lizzie: Not exactly. I told him I could get home ok by myself.

Lulu: (sigh) Lizzie Lizzie Lizzie. What am I gonna do with you?

Lizzie: I didn’t wanna seem too easy, Lulu! And anyway, what if Jeron saw us?

Lulu: I guess you’re right. I’m not an expert at creepin around behind my Boo’s back. This is new territory for me.

Lizzie: I thought you said you were gonna be serious?

Lulu: Oops!! Sorry…….

Lizzie: ANYWAY, I should’ve let him walk me home cuz I got jumped.

Lulu: Oh my God, Lizzie! Are you okay????

Lizzie: Yeah., Im okay.

Lulu: Who jumped you? I bet KENDRA was behind it!

Lizzie: NO LULU!!! KENDRA HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!

Lulu: Okay, okay! I’m just sayin…..

Lizzie: I was carrying a toy home from the center that got damaged. I offered to fix it for my little friend Gabriel. But I didn’t know that it was stuffed with $50Gs worth of drugs!

Lulu: Say WHAT????

Lizzie: And that’s why I got jumped. I was being watched. Or rather, OSITO was being watched.

Lulu: Who’s Osito?

Lizzie: The toy. It was a stuffed bear named Osito. The drug dealers were keeping an eye on it and when they saw me with it, one of them followed me home and jumped me and tried to take it from me.

Lulu: And you didn’t get hurt?

Lizzie: No. He pushed me down and the bear fell apart and all the drugs spilled out. But then Marco came and chased him away.

Lulu: Oh my God, girl, you got my head spinning with all these new people. Andy, Gabriel, Osito and now Marco! Who’s Marco?

Lizzie: (giggles) He works at the Outreach Center too. At least he used to. He’s back in Mexico by now with Gabriel and Anna.

Lulu: Why? Did he get deported or something?

Lizzie: No, they had to leave cuz of the drug situation. The dealers would be after them forever. And then Marco’s true identity was discovered thanks to by idiot brother, Tay and his juvenile delinquent friend, Malik.

Lulu: True identity…..Hmm……NONE OF THIS IS MAKING SENSE.

Lizzie. For a while this guy in a sweatshirt and blue bandana was pulling a Robin Hood number in Lincoln Heights. Stealing from businesses and giving to poor people. It got so bad that there was a reward on his head. It got up to $600. Stupid Tay and Malik wanted the money for a pool table so they started playing detective and fingered Marco as the bandit.

Lulu: So Marco jumped bail and escaped to Mexico????

Lizzie: Not exactly. Andrew painted a tattoo on his arm that matched Marco’s and said HE was the bandit so they let Marco go. Then Marco, Anna and Gabriel left Lincoln Heights and went back to Mexico.

Lulu: But now Andrew’s in jail!!!

Lizzie: No. The tattoo came off and he had an alibi so they couldn’t keep him either.

Lulu: But you’re SURE Marco was the bandit? I don’t want you dating Andrew if he’s a criminal, gurl!

Lizzie: Yes, I’m sure. He gave me his blue bandana as a souvenir.

Lulu: Wow…..sounds like I’m missing all the fun! I’ll be sure and let Robin know what’s been going on with you, gurl.

Lizzie: Thanks Lulu. Do you think he can call me back sometime?

Lulu: Aww……you miss him, don’t you?

Lizzie: Kinda. I could talk to Chuck, but he’s got lots of his own problems and we’re not in the same house anymore.

Lulu: What about your big brother, Nate? I thought you guys were tight?

Lizzie: We were until he went back to Iraq!

Lulu: He went back?????

Lizzie: Yep!

Lulu: So you got nobody to confide in…..poor Lizzie. I’ll make sure my Boo calls you, gurl!

Lizzie: Thanks Lulu. And thanks for letting me confide in you.

Lulu: I keep TELLIN you we’re FRIENDS, girl. But I know I’m no Robin Morgan.--he’s in a class by himself!

Lizzie: (giggles)

Lulu: Bye Lizzie! Love you!

Lizzie: Me too! Bye Lulu.
