Dana finally found Kate.

"Kate?" Dana calling her.

"Hey let me you're Cassie's friend Dana right?" asked Kate.

"Hey how did you know my name?" asked Dana.

"Cassie told me so much about you." said Kate.

"Well I see you and Cassie had gotten to know each other very well." said Dana.

"I see you and Cassie are very close as well." said Kate.

"Yeah we are like sisters." said Dana.

"Good I'll let Cassie know you are here." said Kate.

"Actually I came here to see you." said Dana.

"Oh?" confused Kate.

"Well you see it's about Cassie.  Since you are Cassie's nurse and you two are close I just wondering about Cassie's condition." said Dana.

Kate paused for a minute when Dana asked about Cassie's condition.

"Well what's going on with Cassie?" asked Dana.

Kate hated lying to Dana but she had no choice because she promise Cassie not to tell.

"Haven't Cassie told you.  She has fibroid tumors." lied Kate.

"Are you sure Cassie has fibroid tumors because that sounds serious and Cassie is a very healthy girl." said Dana.

"It's not that bad and Cassie is doing much better." said Kate.

"You sure it's nothing else?" asked Dana.

"No." lied Kate.

"Where's Cassie's doctor?" asked Dana.

"He's off for the night." said Kate.

"Is everything alright?  You looked spooked." said Dana.

"I'm fine.  Just alot on my mind.  Cassie is up you can go see her if you want." said Kate.

"Okay thanks.  I'm glad Cassie found a wonderful friend like you." said Dana.

"Yeah right." said Kate feeling guilty.

"Dana wait." said Kate as she was getting ready to tell the truth.

Then Kate remember she have to keep Cassie's promise.

"Whatsup!" asked Dana.

"Nevermind." said Kate.

"I'll go with you." said Kate.

When the two of them got to Cassie's room, they found her in a depressed state of mind.  Kate understood why Cassie was so depressed -- having lost a baby -- but Dana was in the dark.

"Girl, you should be HAPPY this happened to you while you were still near civilization and not in some hick town in Utah somewhere!" Dana joked trying to lighten the mood.

"HAPPY, Dana?  I should be HAPPY???" Cassie asked, irritated.

"Oh, girl, lighten up!" Dana said as she gave Cassie a playful slap.  "You gotta roll with the punches -- you know that!  When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!"

"That's easy for you to say!" Cassie remarked.

"Oh no it's not!  My life hasn't been a bowl of cherries.  I've had LOTS of LEMONS in my life, lemme tell you...."

"Cassie's just tired and she's lost a lot of blood, Dana--she's not herself," Kate explained sympathetically.

"Well I came all the way over here in a cab just to see you and cheer you up, and I'm not leaving until I see some cheer," she said as she plopped herself down on the side of Cassie's bed.

Instead of cheer, Cassie was soon in tears.

"Cassie sweetheart are you sure you alright?" concerned Dana.

"I fine I just been through so much.  I just an awful person." cried Cassie.

"Cassie don't say that.  You are a wonderful person." said Dana.

"No I'm not I'm horrible." said Cassie.

"Stop saying that.  You are a good person.  I know what you need?  A nice cup of coffee and I will get it to you.  Sit back and relax.  I'll be right back." said Dana.

"I'll keep an eye on her." said Kate.

"Thanks." said Dana.

"Cassie sweetie you really need to pull yourself together.  Dana is going to get suspicious." said Kate.

"I know but I can't help it.  I lost my baby and I can't get in touch with Robin which is driving me nuts." said Cassie.

"Just to let you know I don't feel right keeping this secret from Dana or your family." said Kate.

"Please Kate you must.  Otherwise I will never hear the end of it." said Cassie.

"Cassie she's going to find out sooner or later." said Kate.

"Not if you don't say anything." said Cassie.

"Cassie you're putting my job on the line." said Kate.

"Please don't say anything." said Cassie.

"I'm sure that Dana is a understanding person." said Kate.

"But my parents aren't.  Especially Charles.  If he finds out.  He'll go out and kill Robin.  You have to keep it everything quiet." said Cassie.

"Oh alright fine.  But you need to pull yourself together otherwise Dana will get suspicious." said Kate.

Soon Dana return with the coffee.

"Here you go," she said with a smile as she handed the cup to Cassie.

Cassie sipped it and made a face.

"Now, I know it's not as good as you're used to drinking at the Rev, Cassie, but it can't be all THAT bad!" Dana laughed.

"It's horrible. Now I see why people always complain about hospital food," she muttered unhappily.

Dana sighed.  "There's just no pleasing you today, is there?" she asked feeling defeated.

Cassie sighed as well.  "It's not your fault Dana.  Maybe I'll feel better if we talk about something else besides ME."

"Good idea!" Kate agreed, relieved at the suggestion.

"Oh, okay.  I'm game.  So what are we gonna talk about?" Dana asked.

"Cassie lets talk about your art.  I heard that you are quite the artist." said Kate.

"Alright." said Cassie.

Meanwhile back at the Heights  Nate and the others was getting ready to leave the rollor rink.

"Dang Nate you really got skillz." said Jeron.

"Yeah I have give your props." said Devin.

"Thanks I used to skate back in the day." said Nate.

"You are really good." said Lizzie.

"Thanks you're not bad yourself Lizzie." said Nate.

"She learned it from me." said Devin.

"Whatever Devin." said Lizzie rolling her eyes.

"Well I have to get going.  I'll call you Lizard." said Devin as he kiss Lizzie.

Jeron had a very mean look on his face.

"Catch you later Jeron." said Devin patted him on the back.

"Hey Jeron here's my number...call me hot stuff." said Kendra as she kiss Jeron.

Lizzie was fumming with Jealousy.

"I think it's time for us to go home." said Nate.

Back at the house, things were nice and peaceful as Eddie and Tay were in the kitchen frying up their catfish, while Jenn was upstairs bathing Natalie. 

Suddenly, the peace was disturbed when Nate came through the front door, followed by LIzzie and Jeron who were shouting and arguing with one another about the events at the roller rink.

Eddie and Tay heard the commotion, dropped what they were doing and ran into the livingroom to see what was going on.

"Hey, hey, hey!!!  What's all the racket about?!" Eddie demanded angrily.

"Jeron is cheating on me." snapped Lizzie.

"I was not!!" yelled Jeron.

"Then what were you doing skating with Kendra?" angered Lizzie.

"You skated with Kendra?" asked Tay.

"Yeah but it wasn't even like that." said Jeron.

"I know what I saw Jeron." said Lizzie.

"We were just having fun Lizzie.  I wasn't going to stand around like an idiot while you spend the whole night skating with Devil." snapped Jeron.

"His name is Devin. Get it right." yelled Lizzie.

"Whatever...Lizard!!! Anyway what was deal with ditching me to skate with Devin and telling him I we was just hanging out? We were suppose to be on a date remember?" angered Jeron.

"Devin was by himself.  I have to do something." said Lizzie.

"So you just blew me off." angered Jeron.

"Jeron it's not what you think." said Lizzie.

"Man you bitches are all alike." said Jeron.

"WHAT!!!" shocked Lizzie.

"HEY THAT'S NOW THAT'S ENOUGH.  FIRST OFF OF ALL WE DON'T USED THIS TYPE OF LANUAGE IN THIS HOUSE AND YOU DON'T CUSS OUT MY DAUGHTER." yelled Eddie.

"But." said Jeron.

"But nothing all of you get up stairs and get wash up for dinner.  And I don't want to hear anymore out of you two." said Eddie.

"Remind me not to chaperone those two again." said Nate.

Meanwhile, back in San Diego, while Dana, Kate and Cassie are talking about her artwork, Charles comes through the door holding a dozen roses.

"Hey Beautiful, these are for you," he said as he approached her bed with a loving smile.

"Oh......Charles......they're beautiful!" Cassie swooned as she accepted the bouquet from him.  "Thank you!"

"I love you, Cassie," he said as he kissed her softly.

"I love you too," she replied.

After she took in the fragrance and admired the roses for awhile, he took them from her a put them in a vase.

"I remember the time you sent me hundreds of roses from Italy," Cassie reminisced.

"Yeah, I remember that too.  It seems like such a long time ago," he replied.

"Why did you do that?" Kate and Dana both asked in unison.

"To let her know that I love her.  I want Cassie to know how much she means to me." said Charles.

"We were getting married at that time." said Cassie.

"You were getting married in Italy?" shocked Kate.

"Well...yes and no.  It's a long story." said Cassie.

"Wow you two must really love each other." said Kate.

"We sure do." said Charles.

"So are you two going to get married anytime soon?" asked Kate.

"Kate don't encourage them.  They're still kids." said Dana.

"I know but it just so romantic." said Kate.

Charles sat on the other side of Cassie's bed and looked adoringly at her for awhile.

"Are you getting your strength back, Beautiful?" he asked as he caressed her cheek with the back of his hand.

"I am.  I feel better today--just a little down is all......"

"Your mom wants me to take GOOD CARE of you and the kids," he said proudly.

"Mom?  You spoke to MOM?" she asked a bit alarmed.

"Yeah.  She called my cell.  And she said something weird, Cassie....." he explained, puzzled.

"Weird???  What do you mean, WEIRD?"

"Well, she says she thinks you were misdiagnosed and that you probably didn't have fibroid tumors because you never did before."

Cassie gulped nervously and glanced quickly between Kate and Dana.

"Wh--Wh--What else did she say?" Cassie finally blurted out.

Charles shrugged nonchalantly.  "That was about it.  That's when she told me to just take good care of you and the twins and not to worry about anything--so that's what I'm trying to do Beautiful."

Dana reached over Cassie and patted Charles on the shoulder.  "You're doing a great job, Charles.  Keep up the good work," she said fondly.

"Thanks, Dana," he replied as he got up from the bed.

"Going so soon?" Kate asked, surprised.

"Yeah......I just wanted to swing by real quick and see you for a second, Cassie.  Now, I've gotta keep the second part of my promise and watch out for Colin and Kalie.  By now, I'm sure Mom needs a break from that hotel room."

He leaned over and kissed Cassie goodbye.

"Bye Charles.  Kiss my babies for me?" she asked sadly.

He nodded sympathetically.  "And don't worry--you'll be out in no time, Cassie, so you can kiss them yourself," he assured her.

Dana decided it was time for her to get going as well, said her goodbyes and she and Charles leff together.

"Are you sure everything is alright with Cassie?  I never seen her this depress before." said Charles.

"Yeah this isn't like her at. I have a feeling there's something else wrong with her." said Dana.

"Well one good thing atleast Robin is finally out of my hair once he heads back to Sea School." said Charles.

"Charles please be nice.  Robin haven't done anything to you lately." said Dana.

"Look I stand him being around Cassie all the time." said Charles.

"You have to get over this hatred you have toward Robin." said Dana.

"God why is everyone keep defending Robin.  Everyone keep taking his side." annoyed Charles.

"I'm not taking anybody side but it's time for you two start respecting one another." said Dana.

"I will respect him more if he stay away from Cassie and the twins." said Charles.

"That's impossible Charles because those are his godchildren and with Cassie's best friend." said Dana.

Meanwhile, Robin has managed to survive his flight back to the Sea School Ship, thanks to the sleeping pills, and when he boards the ship, Lulu is the first person anxiously waiting to greet him with open arms.

"Oh Boo!  You're finally back in one piece!" she squealed, delighted.

After they hug and kiss, she takes his hand and practically drags him into the dining room.

"Come on, I want you to see something!" she says.

"Lulu, what's the big rush???!!" he asks, amused and excited by her enthusiasm.

When they entered through the dining room doors, it was pitch black inside.

"What's going on?" he asked, not expecting all of the lights to be off.

Suddenly, he was practically blinded as all of the lights came on, followed by the deafening scream of a large crowd.

"SURPRISE!!!!!" everyone shouted, scaring Robin in the process.

"WHOA!!!" Robin reacted, totally caught off guard as he looked around and took in his surroundings.

He couldn't believe everyone was jammed into the beautifully decorated dining room just for him.

"WELCOME HOME, BOO!!!" Lulu shouted, jumping up and down like an excited little girl.

"YEAH, ROB, WELCOME HOME!!!" Tawanna chimed in.  "WE'VE BEEN WAITING A LOOONNNNGGG TIME TO THROW YOU THIS PARTY, BOY!!"

Robin was touched and for a moment, speechless.

"Wow I'm really touched...I don't know what to say." said Robin.

"Try saying thank you." said Tawanna.

"Thanks!" said Robin.

Lulu hugged Robin.

"Now since you're done playing with Cassie and back with your real girlfriend lets get this party started." said Tawanna.

Lulu was upset when Tawanna made that statement. But when Tawanna turn on the music everyone celebrated.  All the students welcome Robin back including the Headmaster.

Meanwhile back at Lincoln Heights Jeron felt bad for going off on Lizzie and realizes he needed to step up his game to win Lizzie.  As soon as he reached the door Lizzie opened feeling just as bad and they both apologize to eachother.  The two started to kiss and make out.  Then suddenly Tay arrived and saw them making out.

"MOM Lizzie and Jeron are getting freaking in the hallway." yelled Tay.

"WHAT!!!" shouted Jenn.

"Nothing he was just kidding." said Lizzie.

Then she punched Tay in the stomach.

Jeron laughed and he and Lizzie walked away, leaving Tay crumpled on the floor in pain.  As he tried to recover, his cell phone rang.

"Hello?" he answered, trying not to sound hurt.

"Tay--if you know who this is, just say yes, but don't say my name.  Do you know who this is?" the man's voice asked.

Tay was caught by surprise, but definitely recognized Reuben's voice.  "Yes, I know who it is," he replied.

"Good.  Call me Rashaad--that's the name I go by now--got it?" Reuben asked.

"Yeah, sure.  How ya been, Rashaad?" Tay asked, happy to hear from his old friend and mentor.

"Very good.  When I heard about the quake, I was worrred about you and your family.  After all this time, I finally just had to call and make sure you're all okay," he explained.

"Cool!  We all made it out alive, Reu----I mean Rashaad.  My brother almost died, but mom gave him a blood transfusion right in our living room."

"Brother???  What brother?" Reuben asked confused.

"It's a a long story, but his name is Nate.  He's my dad's son," Tay explained.

"Oh......one of those....." Reuben replied.

"Can we meet up, Reu---I mean Rashaad?" Tay asked anxiously.

"Well, just so happens I am nearby.  In fact, I'm looking at your house right now," Reuben informed him.

"Oh......well, we're not in it, Reu---Rashaad.  We're staying at a friend's house while our house gets repaired,' Tay explained.

"No kiddin?" Reuben replied, surprised.  "That's too bad......I thought we could hang for awhile," he said disappointed.

"If you come get me, we could still hang," Tay suggested.  "I'll give you the address."

"Alright, but I don't want no beef with Eddie," Reuben warned.

"You helped keep my grandma's killer in jail so he's got no beef with you," Tay assured him.

So Tay gave Reuben/Rashaad Marla's address and directions to her house and then waited for him to show up.

"Dad can I skipped dinner tonight. I'm going to a friends house." said Tay.

"Wait you're not still going to Sage are you?" stunned Eddie.

"Are you kidding me?  I'm done with Sage. I just want hang out with my buddy." said Tay.

"But I thought we going to celebrate your fishing skillz over dinner." said Eddie.

"Dad we can celebrate some another time.  I haven't seen him in awhile." said Tay.

"Well alright but don't stay out too late." said Eddie.

"Thanks dad.  You're the greatest." said Tay.

"I know." said Eddie.

So as the rest of the household enjoyed fried catfish, Tay's seat at the dinner table was empty.

"Eddie, where's Tay?" Nate asked.

"Out with a long lost friend," his father replied.

"Hmmm.... must be Devin," Lizzie remarked.

Jeron shot her an annoyed look.

Meanwhile back at Sea School....

The women were gathering around Robin to pose a picture with him and ask for his autograph.  Robin was in disabelief.

"Wow this is a little bit much.  I feel like Bruce Wayne with all these females around." said Robin to himself.

He realize that everyone knew about his heroic event during the plane crash.

"So Robbie are you busy tonight?" asked one of the female students.

"Oh excuse you but he is taken." said Tawanna as he snatched Robin away from the girls.

"Thanks Tawanna you saved my ass." said Robin.

"Hey it's bad enough you hang around Cassie but the women C'mon Robin." said Tawanna.

"Whoa wait a minute it's not even like that.  They just wanted to take picture of me and Cassie and I are just friends." said Robin.

"That's what I want to talk about.  What is the deal with you and Cassie?" asked Tawanna suspiciously.

"Cassie and I are just friends nothing else.  You know that." said Robin.

"Well it seems like you and Cassie want to be more than friends.  I mean you do spend more time with her than your own girlfriend." said Tawanna.

"Cassie and I have a special bond okay.  Anyway you know she's with Charles." said Robin.

"Exactly my point she with Charles." said Tawanna.

"Hold up where all this coming from? We are just friends.  Anyway I'm engaged to Lulu.  I got her a ring and everything." said Robin.

"Are you sure you want to do this.  It seems like you and Cassie enjoy eachother more.  And if you really have feelings for her you need to honest with Lulu and Cassie." said Tawanna.

"It's not even like that.  Anyway, Cassie already made it clear to me when she text me and told me to back off." said Robin.

"What did you do?" asked Tawanna.

"Nothing, but she says I should stay away from her and the twins so she can spend time with Charles.  She never had a problem hanging out with me but Charles always has." said Robin.

"That doesn't sound like Cassie at all.  Have you tried talking to her?" asked Tawanna.

"Nah after reading her text message I knew I made the right descision when I propose to Lulu." said Robin.

"That's good but are you sure you are really ready to make this step?" asked Robin.

"More than ever." said Robin.

"Before you do anything here I want you to watch these two movies here's dvd movie called Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys and Madeas Go to Jail." said Tawanna.

"You and Lulu must really like Tyler Perry don't you?" asked Robin.

"Of course he's the man and the movie have a good message to it.  I think you really need to watch these two movies." said Tawanna.

"Hey you two what are you two talking about?" asked Lulu.

"Oh hey girl!" Tawanna laughed, trying not to arouse Lulu's suspicion.  "I was just showing your Boo the DVDs is all...."

Lulu smiled.  "Oh yeah, Boo, remember I was telling you before about Madea Goes to Jail?  It is soooo good.  Wanna watch it tonight?" she asked anxiously.

"Sure, Lulu, anything you want," he agreed, happy to be back where he belonged.  "But first I have something really important to show you---in private."

Tawanna got the hint.  "Ooops!  Lemme be on my way...." she remarked as she turned to leave them alone.

Lulu giggled.  "Talk to you later, girl...."

Robin waited until Tawanna was out of sight and then prepared to give Lulu the tiny diamond ring Carmen loaned him.

"Alright Lulu to give you what you've been waiting for." said Robin.

"Yes Robin!!!" said Lulu as her heart begin to pound.

Robin got down on knee as soon as he pulled out the ring theHead Master came and told Robin there are a few people from the news wanted to interview.  Robin reluntantly agree to go with him.  Robin spoke with them for hours.  After that Robin took Lulu to the sky deck.  Robin once again got down on one knee and told Lulu to close her eyes.  Robin pull out the ring and place it on Lulu's finger.  He then told Lulu to open her eyes then Lulu saw the ring on her finger.

In the moonlight, the ring sparkled brilliantly even though it was tiny.

"Wow...it's beautiful...." Lulu remarked, amazed as she held her hand up in admiration.

"It is?" Robin asked.

"Yes of course it is!  Don't you think it is?" Lulu asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I think it's beautiful, Lulu--just like you!" he agreed, remembering what Carmen told him.

Lulu smiled sweetly.  "Oh, thank you......I Love it!  And I love YOU!" she said as she threw her arms around his neck.

After they kissed under the moonlight, Lulu grabbed Robin's hand and led him away from the sky deck.

"Come on!  I wanna show Tawanna my ring!" she said anxiously.

"Are you sure?" he asked, worried about Tawanna's reaction.

"Of course I'm sure!  She's gonna love it too--you'll see!" Lulu assured him.

Soon they found Tawanna in her suite and joined her.

Meanwhile back at the hospital Cassie was up and very depressed.  She was thinking about the baby she and Robin had together and now it's gone.

"Hey you still up." said Kate coming in.

"Yeah!" said Cassie very sadly.

"Still depress about the baby huh?" asked Kate.

"Yeah I still can't believe I lost my baby." said Cassie.

"Maybe it's for the better Cassie." said Kate.

"How could you say that?  THis is a living thing we are talking about." said Cassie being hurt.

"I'm sorry that didn't came out right." said Kate.

Cassie tears started rolling down her face.

"Cassie please don't cry.  You're going to make yourself sick.  I know it's terrible to lose a child but think about what would've happened if you were still pregnant and Charles found out that the child wasn't his.  Thing would've been very ugly." said Kate.

"Yeah I don't even want to think about it.  I've been tying to contact Robin but he's not anwsering my calls." said Cassie.

Kate thought about the text message she sent to Robin posing as Cassie.

"Cassie you got a wonderful man in your life.  You don't need to worry about Robin." said Kate.

"But doesn't Robin have the right to know?" asked Cassie.

"Right now you need to focus on your relationship with Charles.  He seems like he went through alot of trouble for you.  Give him a chance.  He really needs it.  Right now he is too insecured right now.  He really needs you right now.  Just let know that you really care about him.  Worrying about Robin later." said Kate.

"I guess you're right." said Cassie.

"Tell you what I'll fix you some warm milk because you really need some sleep." said Kate.

Back on the ship, after seeing the ring that Robin gave Lulu, Tawanna is rolling back and forth on her bed, hysterically laughing.

"You're kidding right???!!!!" she finally manages to blurt out in between the laughter.  "This is a big joke----right???!!!"

Lulu stood open-mouthed and speechless, totally caught off guard by her friend's reaction.

"Noooo......it' no JOKE," Robin replied, not surprised at her reaction.

"Oh come off it, Rob!!!  There's NO WAY I'm gonna believe THAT'S the ring you've been dying to give my girl, Lulu!  You have GOT to be KIDDING!!!" Tawanna continued with her ridicule.

Finally, Lulu was able to talk.  "Come on T, cut it out!  Stop laughing!! I LOVE my ring!!!"

That made Tawanna laugh and scream even louder.  "Who you trying to fool, Lulu?!!!  That thing looks like it came out of a Cracker Jack box and you know it!!!  If you've got any sense at all, you'll throw it right in his face and make him buy you a REAL RING!!  Afterall, ain't Robin LOADED???  Think about it, girl!!!! Don't let him play you like that!!!"

Lulu felt humiliated and the color in her face started to change as she suddenly burst into tears and ran into the bathroom, slamming and locking the door behind her.

Robin pounded on the door.  "Lulu!!!  Lulu!!!  Come out, baby!!!  Don't listen to her!!! She doesn't know what she's talking about, Lulu!!!"

"I just want to be alone right now, Robin!!!  Leave me alone---PLEASE!!!" she cried.

Angry, Robin turned and faced Tawanna.

"What?!?  Why are you looking at me for.  I'm not the one who gave her the cheap ass ring." said Tawanna.

"Do you ever think before you open your big mouth?" snapped Robin.

"Well excuse me.  I was just telling it like it is." said Tawanna.

"Yeah and you just have ruined a very special moment." said Robin.

"I bet if you propose to Cassie you would given her an expensive ring." said Tawanna.

"You know enough about Cassie.  I am in love with Lulu. No one else. Now if you excuse me I have to go and cheer her up." said Robin.

"And while at it watch those movies." said Tawanna.

Meanwhile back at the Heights Tay was hangin' with Rueben at the Taco stand.

"I can't believe you're really here--with me!" Tay said as they sat and ate.

Reuben laughed.  "Life is funny--ain't it?"

"How's your mother Reu--Rashaad?" Tay asked.

Reuben laughed again.  "Don't worry--you'll get used to the name--took me awhile too!"  Then he got serious and added,  "My mom......she.......passed."

"Sorry....."

"She had a full life and she was suffering, so maybe she's in a better place--at least that's what some people say."

"Yeah, like my friend Johnny, only he didn't have a full life.  He died the same day you left the Heights in a hit and run.  I lost my two closest friends on the same day....." Tay remembered sadly.

"I'm sorry about your friend, Tay.  And I'm sorry I wasn't around to help you through it.  But, I'm back now."

"Cool," Tay said with a smile.

"And you lost a friend, but gained a brother from what I understand.  Tell me about him," Reuben suggested.

"First of all he ain't my brother. He just the son of my dad's old girlfriend." said Tay.

"You don't think he messed around back then?" wondered Reuben.

"Nah man this happen way before he met my mom.  Anyway him and I don't get along too well." said Tay.

"Why not?" asked Rueben.

"First he moves into the house and takes my attic where I working on my music.  Then he got in my face like he has lost his mind.  Lizzie loves him and thinks I'm an asshole for hating on him." said Tay.

"Damn sorry to hear about that Tay.  Have tried giving him a chance?" asked Rueben.

"Where my dad told me I should cut him some slack. So we pretty working on it.  But I still don't consider my brother." said Tay.

"Maybe you should talking to him." said Rueben.

"No way I got other things to worry about." said Tay.

"So Tay tell me how's your love life.  I know you been talking to the females." said Rueben.

"Well there's actually I talked to but I didn't turned out that well." said Tay.

"Tell me about them." said Rueben.

"Well there's this girl name Kendra she was all that. She loves my music and everything until I found out she drank and I doubt she has a family.  Then there's onetime I went to my sister's prom with one of her friends turns out she's a lesbian and is only into girls." said Tay.

"Damn that's messed up." said Rueben.

"Yeah but I'm over it now." said Tay.

"So who's the third girl?" asked Rueben.

"I don't want to talk about that." said Tay.

"C'mon my boyz." said Rueben.

"Well she's older than me and her name is Sage.  She's pretty hot but not too many people like her because she did alot of nasty things to people and she tried to steal my sister's boyfriend.  She's really not a bad person.  She just misguided.  We really became good friends last year during the summer.  I was really starting to like her." said Tay.

"So what's holding you back?" asked Rueben.

"One she's my sister's age and two she's got alot of issues." said Tay.

"I see.  Don't feel bad.  You'll find someone someday." said Rueben.

"Thanks." said Tay.

"Anyway the reason I brought you over hear because I want to help you with your music." said Rueben.

"Yo that would be sooooo cool, Rashaad!  Me and Jeron wrote something together not too long ago and it could use some finishing touches."

"Well, I'm the man for the job.  I got my own studio right outside the Heights--it's small, but it's mine."

"I hear that!  So when can we get started?" Tay asked anxiously.

"You doing anything tomorrow?" asked Rueben.

"No man I'm free." said Tay.

"I say tomorrow at noon." said Rueben

"No doubt!  I'm down with that." said Tay.

"I really want to make this work.  We have to do this the right and positive way." said Rueben.

"I hear you.  Where I've better get going before my folks start to trip then I will never get to record." said Tay.

"Alright see you tomorrow." said Rueben.

Meanwhile Jenn gave Dana another call.  Dana picked up her cell and she was annoyed to find out it was Jenn again.

"Jenn?"

"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii  Dana," Jenn replied apologetically.  "I hope I'm not disturbing you."

Dana grunted a little.  "You?  Disturb me?  How could you ever think that?" she asked with a hint of sarcasm.

"I was just calling to see if you got to speak with Cassie's doctor," Jenn explained.

Dana sighed.  "Jenn, you ain't got nothin to worry about.  The doctor, the nurse, the boyfriend, the patient---they ALL agree on the fibroid tumor.  Satisfied?"

"Hmmm....." Jenn replied, relieved yet disappointed.  "I thought for sure......"

"That's the problem, Jenn.  You THINK too much!  Intelligence has it's place, but sometimes you've just gotta use good ole horse sense---you feelin me Jenn?"

"Horse sense, huh?" Jenn repeated.

"Common sense, Jenn.  Common sense...."

They both stayed quiet for a moment.

"So, Jenn, I hate to cut the conversation short, but uh......I gots to be goin," Dana spoke up.

"Oh, sure, Dana, no problem.  Thanks for your help--really," Jenn said politely.

When the call ended, Jenn thought about what Dana said about common sense.

"No matter what anyone tells me, common sense tells me that my daughter had a miscarriage," she said outloud to herself.

Then suddenly Jenn decided the only way to get some answer is to fly to San Diego herself to talk with Cassie.  So she started to pack her clothes.  Soon Eddie walked in and saw Jenn was packing her clothes.

"Where on earth are you going?" asked Eddie.

"Where do you think? San Diego." said Jenn.

"You are not going to let this go aren't you?" asked Eddie.

"Eddie I know my daughter and this doesn't adds up." said Jenn.

"Why don't you just let it go?" asked Eddie.

"Do you hear yourself, Eddie?  Do you hear what you're saying?  If there's a tiny possibility that Cassie was pregnant and had a miscarriage, you mean to tell me that you would be willing to just let it go???  As if it didn't happen????  And, even if I'm wrong, Eddie, don't you think our 17 year old daughter needs her mother with her right about now, since she's sick in the hospital?  What kind of a mother would I be if I DIDN'T go to her now???"

Eddie didn't want to say anything because he knew deep down that Jenn was right, so he just turned and walked out of the room.

Meanwhile, back on the ship, Lulu is crying in the bathroom as she looks at the diamond on her finger.

Robin soon knocked on the door.

"Lulu will you please opened the door." begged Robin.

"Go away." yelled Lulu.

"You got ignored Tawanna she doesn't what she's talking about." said Robin.

"Why did you get me this tiny ring then?" asked Lulu.

"Because I want to get you a ring that I can afford.  Just because I'm a millionare doesn't means I can buy anything I want.  And I thought material wouldn't matter to you." said Robin.

"Robin, that doesn't even make sense!  If you're a millionaire you can afford the BEST!  And material things DON'T matter to me!  It's just------just-----" Lulu stammered.

"Just WHAT??" Robin asked, exasperated.

As Lulu searched for  a reason, she realized there was no reason.  She wasn't upset over the ring at all, just over Tawanna's poking fun at her.  Embarrassed, she unlocked and slowly opened the bathroom door, peeking out timidly.

"Just what?" Robin repeated, happy she at least opened the door.

Lulu let out a big sigh as she wiped her face and came out.  "Just nothing.  I'm trippin big time is all---thanks to Tawanna," she admitted.

Robin smiled as he took her in his arms.  "So you like the ring?"

Lulu nodded.  "I told you before, I love it---because it's from you---Boo."

"I'm so glad you're calling me Boo again.  When you call me Robin, I know I'm in trouble."

The two of them laughed and continued to embrace.

"I love you, Lulu," he continued.

"I don't know why....." she said, still embarrassed from the bathroom scene.

"Lots of reasons.  But right now, because you just said you love the ring because it's from me.  That means alot."

"This ring means alot.  And I'm never taking it off," she said as she held out her hand and gazed at it on her finger.

"Uh........well....er.....um......" Robin stammered.

"What's wrong, Boo?" Lulu asked, confused.

"Actually, Lu, it's just a loaner.  It's NOT the ring I picked out for you," Robin confessed.

"Huh???" she asked, baffled.

"Think of it as a.........a PROMISE RING---yeah----that's it-----a promise ring-----until I get the REAL THING," he explained awkwardly.

She gave him a look of skepticism.   "Well.......alright.......if you SAY SO," she finally agreed reluctantly.

"Thanks, I knew you'd understand.  Just wait til Tawanna sees the one I picked out for keeps---she'll be taking her foot out of her mouth for days!" Robin laughed.

"Boo, you don't have to prove anything to Tawanna.  I told you, I love THIS ring," Lulu insisted.

"Lulu---believe me---this isn't about Tawanna.  It's about you and what you deserve and what I want you to have.  But until it comes, this one will do just fine.  Agreed?"

Lulu thought about what he said and finally agreed.

Meanwhile back at the Heights Tay return home all happy and excited.

"What you all happy about?" asked Jeron.

"Are you free tomorrow?" asked Tay.

"Yeah why whatsup." wondered Jeron.

"I'm talkin' an opportunity of a lifetime." said Tay.

"What are you talking about?" asked Jeron.

"We are about become real muscians.' said Tay.

"Man you trippin' man." said Jeron.

"I kid you not. Come with me tomorrow and I will tell you everything." said Tay.

Jeron loved the idea. Meanwhile at Sage's house Danny came over to see what Sage want.

"This better be important." said Danny.

"What have you been doing?" asked Sage.

"I told you I was taking care of business." said Danny.

"Alright then is this your client?" asked Sage as she's showed Danny the picture on her cell.

"Where did you get that?" shocked Danny.

"Nevermind who it's from.  Who is she.  How could you cheat on me?  I thought you love me?" said Sage in tears.

"Baby I do love you.  I would never hurt you." said Danny.

"Then who is that girl having dinner with then?" asked Sage.

"That's my cousin.  She needed a job so I thought I give her interview." lied Danny.

"Why didn't you tell me?" asked Sage.

"Because I know you need all the help you can get and Cassie just ain't getting the job done so I decided to get more help." lied Danny.

"And I thought you have cheated on me." said Sage.

"YOu should be ashame of yourself thinking that way.  After all I have done for you." said Danny making Sage feel guilty.

"I'm sorry." said Sage.

"Well you should be.  I have the right to leave your ass." said Danny.

"Please don't I pormise I will trust you for now on." said Sage.

"You better or else." said Danny as he hugged Sage.


Danny was relieved thatSage fell for his lies.

"Oh Sage may I see your cell right quick?" asked Danny.

"Sure." said Sage.

Danny look to see who sent the message.  Then he realize there was one person who could've done this.

"TAY!!" said Danny to himself.

"His ass is mine!!!" he said to himself.

"I'm so glad we're finally gonna spend some time together," Sage said happily.

Danny frowned.  "No can do, babe.  Not today," he said as he headed for the door.

"What????  But why????" Sage asked, devastated as she followed him.

"Sage, I've got some unfinished business---that's all I can say," he replied, rushed.

Sage sighed heavily.  "Well PLEASE finish your business---will you?  So you and I can take care of business???"

"Yeah, yeah, sure, sure," he said half listening to her as he gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

"I'm serious, Danny," she whined.

"I know, I know.  Don't worry, things will be back to normal soon," he promised as he quickly left.

Sage watched him hurry away from her house, heading to his car, and thought sadly to herself  "Normal?  What's that?"

Meanwhile, Jenn is almost ready to leave for San Diego.

"So this is it, huh?" Eddie asked in a serious tone of voice.

"I guess so, Jenn said as she stood with Natalie on one side and her travel bag on the other side.

"You're taking Natalie too?" he asked, surprised.

"Not exactly.  I called Vera and she agreed to watch her---I didn't want to leave her here with just you and LIzzie," she explained.

"Oh.....yeah......I guess you're right about that," Eddie agreed.

"You're gonna drive me to the airport, right?" Jenn asked.

"Sure, Jenn, if that's what you want.  Just tell me when you're ready," he said trying to be cooperative.

"I'm ready now.  On the way to the airport, we can drop Natalie off at Vera's," she told him as she took Natalie and headed for downstairs.

Eddie followed slowly behind.  "Sure, Jenn.....anything you say....." he mumbled unhappily.

"Can we atleast let the kids know where you're going so they won't get suspicious?" asked Eddie.

"Alright fine...TAY, LIZZIE, JERON GET YOUR BUTTS DOWN HERE NOW!!!" yelled Jenn.

"You forgot about Nate." said Eddie.

"Nate is not my child." said Jenn.

"Neither is Jeron...NATE!!!" yelled Eddie.

"What's going on?" asked Lizzie as she, Tay, Jeron, andNate came downstairs.

"Whatever it is I didn't do it." said Jeron in defense.

"Look no one did anything. I call you all here because I'm taking your mother to the airport." said Eddie.

"Where are you going?" asked Lizzie.

"Is Natalie going with you?" asked Tay.

"I'm going to San Diego to check on Cassie ad Natalie is going to stay with Aunt Vera until I get back." said Jenn.

"I'll be back as soon as I dropped Jenn off to the airport.  Until then Nate you're in charge." said Eddie.

"Great." mumble Tay.

"I want you to listen and respect Nate do I make myself clear?" warned Eddie.

"Yes sir." said Lizzie and Jeron.

"Tay that goes double for you." wanred Eddie.

"Fine whatever!" said Tay.

"I really mean it Tay." said Eddie.

"Alright I won't give Nate a hard time." annoyed Tay.

"Well it settle I be back soon." said Jenn.

On the way to Vera's house, Eddie told Jenn that by the time she got back, their house would probably be ready for them to move back to Lincoln Heights.

"I hope so, Eddie," Jenn replied.

"Yeah?" he asked a bit surprised at her positive response.

"Yes.  I never thought I'd say this, but I miss Lincoln Heights," she admitted.

Eddie chuckled.  "See?  It's not so bad afterall....."

They pulled up into Vera's driveway and blew the horn to let her and Spencer know they had arrived with Natalie.

"Hey Hey where's my little grandbaby?" excited Spencer.

"Spencer are you sure you are able to take care of Natalie?" asked Jenn.

"Of course I took care of Tay and look how he turned out." said Spencer.

"Any second thoughts Jenn?" panic Eddie.

"Relax I'll be there to watch them." said Vera.

"Thats sis." relieved Jenn.

"You just say hi to mom and dad for me." said Vera.

"Will do." said Jenn.

Eddie soon drove off.

"Jenn just so that we are clear I don't agree what you are doing." said Eddie.

"Eddie please don't start." annoyed Jenn.

"This is our daughter we are talking about." said Eddie.

"I'm her mother Eddie I have the right to know what she up to and what she is doing." said Jenn.

"Why do you insist on thinking that Cassie was pregnant and she had lost her baby?" asked Eddie.

"Because I'm a nurse Eddie and this doesn't adds up.  Cassie is a very healthy person." ssaid Jenn.

"But it seems you are thinking the worst of Cassie." said Eddie.

"Just drive okay." frustrated Jenn.

While Jenn and Eddie drove the rest of the way in silence, Jenn decided to call her father and let him know she was on her way.

"Wonderful, sweetheart!" the Judge responded when he heard the news.  "We'll have your room ready and waiting for you," he promised.

"Thanks, Daddy," Jenn said, happy he was happy.

"You don't EVER have to thank me for letting you come home," he assured her.  "I never wanted you to leave in the first place--remember?"

"Yes, Daddy.......I remember....."

"Let me go and tell your mother the good news," he suggested.

"I doubt that she'll be as happy as you," Jenn warned him.

"Don't be silly!  You know how you females can get!  But it's all an act on Beverly's part, Jenn.  She loves you and she'll be just as happy to see you," he said with confidence.

Dana was standing around the corner from the Judge and heard every word. 
"Jenn is coming here????  Oh no...." she thought to herself, dreading the visit.

I got to get out of here.  That woman is going to drive me nuts." said Dana to herself.

Meanwhile back at the hotel Charles was daydreaming and thinking about him, Cassie and the twins not returning to the Linocoln Heights but actually moving out in Utah and finally getting married.

"That would be the perfect life.  No struggling,  No hassle from Cassie's dad,  we can raise our kids in a decent neighborhood, I would bring home the bacon while Cassie take care of the kids and most of all no Robin." said Charles as he daydream.

"Charles what are you smiling about?" asked Marla.

"Just thinking about me and my future with Cassie." said Charles.

The hotel phone rang and when Marla answered it, she was happy to hear Dana's voice.

"Hi!  What's going on?" she asked.

"You were gonna wire me some money so I could fly back to Lincoln Heights--remember?" Dana said, getting right to the point.

"Oh!  Yeah, that's right.....It's just that with Cassie getting sick and all, I thought that was on hold," she explained.

"I thought so too, but something has come up and I've gotta get outta here fast, girl.  You got my back?"

"Got your back?" Marla asked, puzzled with the expression.

Dana sighed, annoyed.  "Marla!  Don't be frontin and actin all white on me NOW!" Dana scolded her.

"I'm not!" Marla objected.  "Just say it a different way," she suggested.

"Are you gonna pay my way home?" Dana asked in plain english.

"Oh!!!  Yes, I'll get you the money ASAP," she promised.

"How 'bout if I meet you at the hotel?  Is that cool?" she asked anxiously.

"Sure, if you're in that big of a rush," Marla agreed.

"Thanks girl, I knew I could count on you," she said relieved.

"What's wrong-----did the Judge kick you out too?" Marla asked, curious.

"Nah, he wouldn't do that---he likes me.  But his DAUGHTER is on her way out here and I don't want to be with her in her parents' house---she's got the home advantage, if you know what I mean."

"Yes, THAT I understand.  I didn't know Jenn was coming out....." Marla remarked.

"I heard the Judge talking on the phone with her not too long ago.  She's on her way," Dana replied.

"I wonder does Cassie know?" Marla asked.  She turned and got Charles' attention.  "Charles?  Did you guys know that Jenn is on her way out here?" she asked.

Charles shook his head no.  "Cassie didn't mention it, and Mrs. Sutton didn't mention it when we spoke on the phone."

"Hmmm......I wonder what's gotten into her?" Marla continued.

"Well, you try and solve the mystery.   I'm on my way now to the hotel," Dana replied in a rush.

"Okay, Dana.  See you when you get here," Marla agreed.

As Dana prepared to leave, the thought came to her that maybe she should give Cassie a heads up about Jenn's visit.

Cassie woke up and heard her cell phone ringing and it was Dana.

"Hey Dana whatsup." asked Cassie.

"Well I just want to gives you the heads on whats going on.  I'm going to head back to the Heights tonight." said Dana.

"What!?!? Why?  Don't you like it here?" asked Cassie.

"No I love he place.  It just I don't want to overstay my welcome here.  Anyway I overheard your grandparents talking and your mother is coming over." said Dana.

"WHAT!!! WHY?" shocked Cassie.

"To check on you of course.  Cassie you know I'm your girl and I am there for you for whatever so if you're hiding anything please tell me.  Whatever it is I'll understand." said Dana.

"No." lied Cassie slowly.

"I don't like the sound of your voice, Cassie.  Are you being straight up with me?" Dana pressed.

"Uh-huh.   Dana, I can't talk right now--I'm sorry.  You kinda woke me up," Cassie said.

"Oh......Oh, okay--sorry about that.  You go back to sleep, then, and when I get back to the Heights I'll be calling you."

"Thanks, Dana."

When they hung up, Cassie immediately got out of bed and although she was in some pain, started preparing to leave the hospital.  While she was doing so, Kate came in.

"Cassie!  What are you doing out of bed?  What do you think you're doing?!" Kate demanded in disbelief.

"Sorry, Kate, but I've gotta go.  I'm calling Charles to come and get me," Cassie explained as she slowly got her things together and tried to get dressed.

"Cassie, you are in NO CONDITION to go ANYWHERE YET!  What's gotten into you all of a sudden?"

"Kate, MY MOM is on her way out here!  And I know it's because she thinks something's up!" Cassie explained nervously.

"So you're running from YOUR MOTHER??? Oh that's real mature!!" Kate replied sarcastically.

"I can't face her, Kate.  I'll fall apart if she starts questioning me the way she does...." Cassie said, getting more disturbed.

"So what's your plan, Cassie?  Run away to Utah with Charles and the kids and have your mother chase you across country?  Don't be ridiculous!" Kate scolded her.

Cassie was feeling weak as she continued trying to get dressed and finally had to stop and catch her breath.

"See?  You're NOT READY YET, Cassie!  Now PLEASE, get back in bed!!" Kate said as she took Cassie by the arm.

"But....." Cassie started to object.

"Cassie, when Charles was sick and you had no where else to turn, you called your mother and she gave you some VERY GOOD advice.  Now, you're running away from her?  It makes no sense!"

"She'll find out about the miscarriage, Kate!  That's bad enough!  And then if she finds out Robin was the father-----that'll KILL my mom, Kate!"

"Don't worry yourself about any of that now, Cassie.  You're a hospital patient that needs to recover from some very serious trauma.  A miscarriage is NO JOKE young lady, and you need to be concerned about getting better---NOT keeping secrets from your mother.  If you don't want her to know, just stick to your story like you've been doing," Kate advised.

"What about you, Kate?  Will you keep my secret from my mom?" Cassie asked as she finally started to get back into the bed.

"Cassie......." Kate sighed exasperated.  "I don't know if I can," she admitted.

"Kate please I'll die if she's finds out." begged Cassie.

"If you don't get back to bed and get some rest you will die." warned Kate.

"Kate please don't tell my mom about this." frightened Cassie.

"I'll think about it...Tell you what if you promise that you go to sleep.  I'll see what I can do okay." said Kate.

"Deal." said Cassie.

Then Cassie went right to sleep.

Kate decided that staying out of work would be the best thing she could do so she wouldn't be forced lie to Jenn or disappoint Cassie.  So she pretended to have a migraine headache so that she could leave her job early.

"When do you think you'll be back?" the head nurse asked.

"When I get these migraines they usually last for several days," Kate replied as she pretended to be in pain.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk.......stay out as long as you need to, but stay in touch," the head nurse advised.

"Thanks.  I'll do that," Kate said as she turned and left the nurses' station.

She breathed a sigh of relief as she rode the elevator down to the lobby, deep in thought: 

"Thank God I got myself out ouf that mess!  I can't believe I let myself get involved in the first place!  Oh well, at least now I won't be around Cassie's mom.  If she finds out about the miscarriage, it won't be from me.  But for Cassie's sake, I hope no one ever finds out......"

Meanwhile, Dana arrives at the hotel where Marla, Charles, and the twins are staying, anxious to get some money for her return trip home to Lincoln Heights.

"Hey you got the money girl?" asked Dana as she rushed in.

"Well hello to you too." said Marla.

"I'm sorry I just need the money right now." said Dana.

"Dana why are you so much in the hurry?" asked Marla.

"You know Jenn and I don't see eye to eye on things especially now that Eddie is the father of my first born.  If she see me here with her folks all hell will break loose." said Dana.

"Dana it can't be that bad." said Marla.

"I just don't want to take a chance.  Plus I think something troubling Cassie but I promise I talk to her when I get back." said Dana.

"She probably freaked about her mother coming over here." said Marla.

"You have the money?" asked Dana.

"Sure let me write out this check." said Marla.

"Hey what's going on.  Someone mention Cassie." wondered Charles.

"Hey Charles, how you doin?" Dana asked as she waited for the check.

"Hey Dana.  What's up with you and Cassie?" Charles pried.

"Nothin's up with me and Cassie.  I just called her to let her know Jenn is coming out to visit."

"Hopefully that'll cheer her up.  She's been kinda down," Charles replied, clueless.

"Yeah, well......don't count on it," Dana warned.

"Huh?"

"Charles, mothers and daughters can be very strange is all I'm saying.  It would be nice if Jenn's visit cheers Cassie up, but it might have the opposite effect."

Charles shook his head, unconvinced.  "Sorry, Dana, but I doubt that very much.  I think Mrs. Sutton is just what Cassie needs right about now."

Dana sighed as Marla passed her the check.  "I hope you're right, Charles.  I hope you're right...."

"Do you want to see the babies before you go?" Marla offered.

"Sure, why not?" Dana agreed, trying not to seem ungrateful.

She went into the twins' room and gave Colin and Kalie a quick kiss and came back out.

"You going somewhere, Dana?" Charles inquired, still clueless.

"I'm heading back home, Charles," Dana explained.  "I came out here to support Marla because you were sick.  You're not sick anymore, so my job is done."

"And you're sure you don't wanna stick around and head out to Utah with us?  It'll be fun," he said persuasively.

Dana chuckled and rolled her eyes.  "Believe me, Charles, I'm SURE.  But thanks for the invite," she said as she kissed him on the cheek.

She hugged and kissed Marla goodbye.  "Don't stay in Utah too long, okay?"

"I won't.  Take care of my house while I'm gone, okay?"

"I will," Dana agreed.  "Listen, the cab is waiting for me downstairs and the meter is running so I've gotta go," she said as she rushed for the door.

"Be safe!" Marla and Charles both said as they waved goodbye.

When Dana was gone, Charles noticed that Marla was smiling to herself.

"What is it mom?" he asked, curious.

"I was just thinking what a good friend Dana is," Marla replied.

"Yeah, she is.  Cassie likes her alot too, and she was a cool house mom over the summer," Charles agreed, "but I'm not feeling what she was saying about Mrs. Sutton's visit," he added.  "Don't you think it's a good idea for her to come out and be with Cassie?"

"Of course it is.  It's just that sometimes mothers worries too much about their children they can be very overbearing at times." said Marla.

"I know that feeling." said Charles.

"And what does that suppose to me at times? You think I'm too overbearing? asked Marla being offended.

"Oh no more mom you alot of fun to be with." said Charles as he answered the question quickly.

"That what I thought." said Marla.

"You just have a problem listening." joked Charles.

"Go and take care your children before I hurt you." warned Marla.

"Love you too Mom." said Charles.

Meanwhile back at the hospital Cassie was asleep and she was dreaming about her and Robin having a child together and living happy and raising a family.  Her life was normal and happy.  There was no drama.  Cassie was cuddle in Robin's as they watched their kids playing.   Cassie was enjoying her dream until she woke up.

"What is wrong.  I shouldn't be thinking like this.  I'm with Charles and Robin is engaged to Lulu which I think he's making a foolish mistake.  But he is still with Lulu.  Kate is right I need to focus on me and Charles and our children.  But I have to tell Robin about miscarriage child we have together. I  have to talk to him when I get out. No one else doesn't need to know." said Cassie to herself.

Meanwhile, back in San Diego, Beverly finds a note on the dining room table from Dana:

"Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bradshaw,
I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to you in person, but an emergency came up and I had to pack up and leave in a hurry.  Thank you very much for your hospitality and the way you took care of me and my friend, Marla.   I'm sorry if we caused you any trouble.
Sincerely, Dana Taylor"

After she read the note, she hurried and found her husband to show him.

"Oh wow just when I was getting to know her." disappointed Judge Bradshaw.

"Yeah she is a really sweet person." said Beverly.

"Besides Robin, Dana is Cassie true friend.  Cassie is very lucky to have a friend like Dana and Robin." said Judge Bradshaw.

"Lucky you mean blessed.  But I wonder what made her up and leave like that?  I mean what's the emergency?" asked Beverly.

"Who knows.  I'm sure she has her reasons.  But somehow I get the feeling we will see her again.  She seems like a very sweet and pure person." said Judge Bradshaw.

Several hours later, Jennifer Sutton arrives at San Diego County Hospital, eager to speak with her daughter's doctor.  After making a few inquiries, she was able to find out who he was and have one of the staff contact him and explain her situation.

"Oh yes, I remember speaking with her over the telephone about her daughter," the Doctor remembered as he listened to the staff member.

"She'd like to speak with you now, doctor.  She's just outside your office."

"Fine, fine.  Have her come in," the doctor agreed.

Jennifer stepped in and shook his hand.  "Hello, I'm Jennifer Sutton.  Cassie Sutton's mother."

He smiled as he shook her hand.  "I'm Dr. Lee.  It's nice to finally meet you in person.  Please have a seat."

As Jenn sat, he buzzed his secretary and requested that she bring Cassie's chart.  As he and Jenn waited for the chart, they had a little small talk.

"After our telephone conversation, I thought someone would come see me in your place, but no one ever came," the doctor explained.

"Dana Taylor was the person.  She said she spoke with you," Jenn said.

"Dana Taylor?  Noooooo..... I haven't spoken to anyone about Cassie," he replied.

Jenn huffed and puffed, visibly annoyed.  "I can't believe that woman would lie to me about something this serious!  She told me the everyone agreed Cassie had a ruptured fibroid!"

The doctor looked very puzzled.  "Ruptured fibroid?"

Just then, the secretary came in with Cassie's chart, handed it to Dr. Lee and left.

"Okay, let's see what we have here," he said as he looked over Cassie's chart.  "Mmmm hmmm......" he said to himself.

"Well?" Jenn asked anxiously.

"Mrs. Sutton, you said fibroid tumor right?" he asked, making sure.

"That's what Cassie has been telling everyone," Jenn explained.

The doctor looked solemn as he closed the chart and folded his hands on his desk.  "I'm sorry, but if that's what Cassie has been saying then I'm not at liberty to break her confidentiality."

Jenn looked at him in disbelief.  "EXCUUUUUUUSE ME????  I'm her MOTHER!!"

"Calm down, Mrs. Sutton.  You're also a nurse from what I remember.  You know as well as I do that Cassie has certain patient rights even though she is your daughter.  If she's telling you something about her condition then as her physician I don't have the right to tell you something DIFFERENT.  Not until I get her permission."

Jenn was quiet for a while.  "Doctor Lee, I've suspected from the beginning that my daughter had a miscarriage."

"I'm not going to talk about that, Mrs. Sutton.  But I'll be more than happy to speak with Cassie and once I get her approval, I'll talk to both of you together," he offered.

Jenn agreed, and waited in the office while Dr. Lee went to Cassie's room.

Cassie was watching TV and smiled when she saw the Doctor come through the door.  "Hi Dr. Lee.  Can I go home yet?"

He smiled back and turned off the TV.  "Not just yet.  I need to speak with you about something," he said in a serious tone of voice.

"Okay," she said as she sat up straight.

"Two things.  First, your mother is in my office and tells me you had a ruptured fibroid.  That's news to me."

Cassie looked humiliated and hid her face in her hands for awhile.  "Did you tell her I miscarried?" she finally asked.

"No.  You have the right to confidentiality and when I realized you hadn't told her the truth, I had to respect that right.  But let me just tell you off the record, young lady, you're playing a dangerous game."

"I know....." Cassie said, breaking down.  "I can't tell her though.  At least not for a long time yet."

The doctor sighed as he waited for her to pull herself together.  "There's something else I need to speak with you about, Cassie," he finally told her.

"What else?"

"I'm sorry, but there's no easy way to say this.  It seems that when you miscarried, there was alot of damage done.  Alot more than we first realized."

"Damage?"

"Yes.  According to your sonograms, there's no chance of you having any more children."

Cassie swallowed hard.  "Did you just say I can't have any more children?"

"I'm very sorry, Cassie," he replied nodding his head.

Cassie looked very sad but refused to break down again, keeping her composure.  "May I be alone now?"

"Of course.  But I need to know your decision regarding your mother."

"I already told you---I can't tell her."

"She already suspects that you miscarried.  Would you like me to tell her?" he offered.
